Patong Beach, Phuket
This is one of the best beaches in Thailand popular for its wild and crazily themed parties. Patong beach is always crowded with people due to its stunning views, massage parlor, and amazing nightlife. This place is simmering with energy and has several nightclubs, cabarets, bars, little tourist shops and restaurants.
The beach spans across 2.2 miles in length. You can reach the beach via bus or a private car available at Phuket airport.
Railay Beach, Krabi
This beach is most famous for the high-tipping cliffs that surround the magnificent sea. It has a laid back fun feel and offers an amazing view of the sunset and the sunrise. The beach is linked to the mainland through the Krabi Province but has a secluded island feel to it.
There are no cars that run on the island, so the only means of transport is through the boat and on the island, your feet will take you around.It has a number of restaurants and a serene and relaxed atmosphere. You could unwind in this peaceful ambiance or go for a long-tail boating tour to the 4 islands around.

Maya Beach, Koh Phi Phi Ley
This Thailand beach has an amazingly striking bay that is enshrouded by cliffs on 3 sides. The central beach is 200 meters long with mesmerizing white sand. The most suitable time to visit the beach is from November to April when the bay is easily accessible, and the water is calm and clear. The bay is thus mostly crowded, but an early start usually beats the rush.
The place has a small snack station, but no proper food is available here. Tourists can make their own food on the barbeque stand available. Lighting up your own fires is prohibited here.
The beach is popular for activities such as snorkeling and diving. Kayaking is also an organized spot that you could enjoy at Maya Beach.
Kata Beach
Located a short drive away from Karon Beach, this place is enchanting with its soft sandy bays and crystal clear water. The palm trees lining up the shore, various restaurants as well as easy accommodation facilities available closely make it a pleasant site to spend quality time with your family. It is lively even during the night, but there are no wild parties as such.
The beach remains open throughout the year. From May to October, several people come to surf while November to April finds people who want to enjoy the sun. The beach has two primary divisions; the Kata Centre up north and Kata South.
There are several little shops that sell souvenirs, resorts, fashion stores and a large variety of fine eateries and street food stalls.
Hua Hin Beach, Hua Hin
Among the most magnificent Beaches in Thailand is known for its beautiful sunrises, this beach has a massive 4 km long strip of marvelous white sand. The beach is never too crowded because of its sheer size.
You can enjoy tons of activities with your family over here such as lounging in the sun, going for pony rides and taking banana rides.The extreme end of the main beach has a formation of rocks that gives the town its name, ‘stone head.’
Tourists are often seen taking a long stroll on the sand.You can also go to Suan Son Beach just nearby, that remains mostly secluded. The ambiance of the beach is very relaxing and pleasant.
Haad Rin, Koh Phangan
This beach has such soft sand that it feels like it is melting under your feet. There are two sections of the beach- sunrise beach and a sunset beach. The former is livelier and is the spot for party-goers that also has a monthly full moon night party.
While the other section is much serene, the sunrise beach is the most popular spot due to a large number of accommodation and other facilities available here.
There are also these brilliant fire shows on the sunrise beach that are organized at night. The place is family-friendly and clean despite the rush of the party people.
Donald Duck Bay, Similan Islands
Named after a formation of rocks that resemble Donald Duck’s head, this place is located on the northern end of Koh Similan. The top of these rocks provides a picturesque view of the spell-binding waters and the islands that surround it.
The place provides snorkeling experience during the day and turns into an excellent location for skydiving during the night. The coral reefs in the water are accompanied by a myriad of different species of shrimp that make a distinct sound in the night.
One also gets to see many squids, cuttlefish and decorator crabs over here. Species of green turtles and eels can also be seen at night.
Phra Nang, Krabi
This beach is located at the extreme south of the Railay Bay. It can be reached by walking from the east end of the bay or on a boat from Ao Nang. This magnanimous Thailand beach has sand just like a soft duvet and the clearest of waters that are shallow and thus ideal for swimming.
The 450 meters of the beach is lined with numerous caves, coral reefs, and two small islands. A complete picture of a perfect beach is completed by the mounting cliffs of limestone that provide shade from the hot sun and also offers opportunities for rock climbing.
White Sand Beach, Koh Chang
The northern end gives you the most spectacular beach experience, and the southern end has several rocks and cliffs to give a complete panoramic view of the island. This is among the most popular beaches in Thailand.
Several options for accommodation, including rental bungalows, resorts, huts, hostels, and guesthouses, are available. You would find Thai street food as well as barbecue and seafood on the island.
